Description
General Summary
To Assist QA supervisors in managing the hourly work force in the quality department. Audit the manufacturing of food products to achieve the Safety and Quality and Food Safety goals of King & Prince Seafood Corp. To continually improve products and processes through proactive management of the Quality Assurance Technicians.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Quality and Food Safety
• Support quality control programs to ensure continuous production/service consistent with established standards.
• Demonstrate ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Work as a backup for QA supervisors on both shifts to optimize coverage.
• Assist in management of food safety programs and controls, audits, and food defense programs.
• Assists QA Supervision in identifying root causes to quality and food safety issues involving raw material and dry ingredients or finished product processing.
• Manages inspection and testing procedures for finished products; place out of specification product on hold.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems.
• Implements and coordinates quality control objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other supervisors and managers to maximize quality, reliability and minimize costs.
• Assist in the investigation of customer complaints regarding quality.
Safety and Security
• Proactively participate in Company safety programs and help identify safety issues.
• To provide a safe working environment for line personnel. Monitor condition of equipment and facilities and initiate corrective action when deficiencies are noted.
Personnel
• Support supervisors in training technicians for the tasks assigned.
• Demonstrate ability to direct, coach, and train associates as well as plan, monitor, and schedule work
• Enforce company policies such as Attendance, Dress Code, GMP's, etc.

Monday through Thursday, Monday through Friday
Mid-Shift, 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
Requirements
Qualifications
• Minimum of an Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university required. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• Experience in a Quality Assurance department or high-paced processing environment preferred.
• Personal Computer Skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good problem-solving skills, people management and interaction skills.
Salary Description
$50,000 to $55,000 per year
