Job Title: Quality Assurance Administrative Assistant-Temporary
Location: 201 S. McClure Road, Modesto, CA 95357
Department: Production
Reports To:Quality Assurance Manager
Summary/Objective
The QA Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support for the Quality Assurance Manager and Quality Assurance Supervisor.
Classification
STATUS: Non-Exempt CLASS/GROUP: Full-time, Regular EEO CLASSIFICATION: Clerical
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Coordinate along with QA Supervisor/QA Manager shipping of outside lab samples.
2. Coordinate reception and accountability of samples with production team and scheduling manager.
3. Monitor, collect and analyze testing data from external laboratories.
4. Prepare and distribute customers COAs
5. Maintain Rizo Lopez Foods Inc. supplier approval program.
6. Communicate and request to customers and suppliers documentation as part of the supplier approval program.
7. Maintain company products spec sheets.
8. Maintain product master label files.
9. Maintain QA department documentation
10. Monitor raw ingredient database to ensure all raw ingredient documents are received from suppliers
11. Review QA and SQF documents for accuracy
12. Support QA Manager and QA Supervisor with SQF document organization
13. Support management with QA, State and FDA Inspection requirements.
14. Support QA Manager with SQF and food safety audits.
15. Complete projects on time as assigned
Additional Responsibilities
1. May perform additional responsibilities directed from management to ensure business operations run smoothly.
2. Promote and follow Rizo Lopez policies and procedures.
3. Recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
4. Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
5. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
1. Spanish/English bilingual with effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills;
2. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize successfully;
3. Strong administrative skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet and email;
4. Demonstrated ability to work as a team player, and collaborate with colleagues;
5. Ability to communicate and interact with coworkers across all levels of the organization;
6. Effective problem-solving skills; and
7. Attention to detail.
Certification and License
None
Required Education and Experience
High school or GED certificate.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Associates' degree (A.A.) from two-year college or university;
2. 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Schedule
The typical work schedule is 8.00 hours per day 5 days per week; exact schedules and shifts are assigned by management. It is the attendance standard of the employer that employee be present and on time each shift they are scheduled to work. Full or partial absence during any scheduled shift, arriving late, or leaving early, for whatever reason, may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination or employment. Time off may be approved if allowed by applicable policies covering illness, injury, or other personal emergency.

Rizo Lopez maintains Globally Harmonized Systems (GHS) [formally Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)] as required by law on hazardous products. GHS's are kept at the office for review by employees.
