Quality and Inventory Technician

Bay Cities Metal Products is a fast-growing sheet metal manufacturer currently seeking a motivated and hardworking individual who can support the team. We are looking for a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Supervisor who is detail oriented. While we are willing to provide training to the right candidate, you should have at least 2-years of prior experience working in production, manufacturing, or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Work with the team to develop, implement and maintain quality initiatives including but not limited to SOP management, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, production/shipping compliance and standards.
• Investigate and resolve quality issues associated with audit findings, out-of-specifications, and/or customer complaints.
• Keep track of defect reports, inspection reports, other quality related issues.
• Identify opportunities for quality improvement.
• Perform daily inspections throughout the facility related to Quality and safety, walk-throughs, internal audits, packing of materials, and accuracy on pulled of loaded products.
• Adjust and correct inventory in the system when identified materials or items are removed, scrapped or repurposed.

Qualifications:

• 2-year experience and knowledge working in production, manufacturing, process engineering and/or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
• Skilled in MS Office, able to review, analyze quality data and report quality status in progress.
• Organized, efficient and committed to quality control, able to drive quality improvement, and enhance manufacturing environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, employees and cross-functional team (operations, purchasing, accounting, and management).
• Knowledge in ERP is preferred.
• Strong foundation of analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Schedule:

• 5 days a week - full time position (hourly)
• 8-hour shift

Pay:

• $17.50 - $25.00 (based on experience)
