This position is located at our Sussex, WI corporate headquarters.
Duties
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SCOPE
· Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children.
· Sub for Teachers if needed
· Adhere to DHS and Quad Health and Safety procedures to ensure the health and safety of children, parents, and staff
· Ensure that center facilities are safe for children and comply with laws and regulations.
· Plan child appropriate classroom rotations
· Support staff in child assessments and child portfolios
· Maintain state training requirements.
· Develop Marketing Strategies
· Market the program in the community and work with local childcare organizations and local community officials.
· Maintain accurate accounting of the center tuition daily/weekly and generate reports according to company guidelines.
· Perform administrative duties, including financial feasibility (accounting, budget, and cost control), enrollment and tours; maintain staff and child files, state licensing maintenance, and regulation/policy compliance.
· Evaluate and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies.
· Manage and support staff and promote their professional development (including reviews, vacations, wage increases)
· Interview, hire, and train new staff members, ensuring they meet all policies and legal requirements.
· Complete ongoing training and courses to remain up to date on daycare standards, procedures, and licensing.
· Communicate and meet with parents regarding their children and the center’s policies.
· Fundraising and complete grant applications
Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis
Education: An Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood or a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education or Early-Middle Childhood Education
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Registered on the Wisconsin Registry Program (Wisconsin Early Care Professional Development) aka The Registry
Director and/or Early Childhood Administrator credentials or equivalent Level on The Registry
School Age certification preferred
Certifications in Early Childhood I, II, Infant/Toddler
CPR
First Aide
Shaken Baby
Child Abuse and Neglect from an accredited school
Blood born pathogens (Quad provided)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Ability to lift up to 40 pounds several times a day
· Knowledge of health and safety regulations
