Job Description
- Conduct incoming, in-process and/or final inspection under direction from Manager.
- Review readiness to start work order via pre-work order checklist.
- Monitor production adherence to process sheet assembly instructions.
- Measure and check samples of packed products visually, by touch and by weight to ensure that they conform to requirements in terms of number, color, voltage, etc.
- Check packaging to ensure it is sound and any dates are correct.
- Record results of inspection activities.
- Complete incoming, in-process inspection and final inspection records.
- Identify product and process nonconformities.
- Maintain yield reports and other test data reports.
- Operate and possess substantial knowledge of mechanical and dimensional measuring equipment, including calipers, voltmeters, and pull gauges.
- Read and understand product blueprints.
- Provide training, assistance or mentoring to QA Inspectors on inspection techniques and procedures.
- Assist QA Technician and/or QA Engineer in first article inspection and other inspection/testing activities.
- Inspect circuit boards for IPC-A-610 compliance.
- Maintain awareness of ISO, ESD, Safety and Electrical policies and procedures.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and ensure that all environmental and health and safety regulations are complied with.
- Assist in the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment and ensure that all equipment is used in accordance with safety regulations and company rules.

- High school or equivalent in education.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing quality assurance environment; ISO experience would be a plus.
- Ability to read process, work instructions, sheet assembly instructions, product blueprints and other technical drawings.
- Advanced measurement skills with calipers, micrometers, thickness gauges, pin gauges, etc.
- Thorough understanding of inspection and sampling techniques.
- Math skills, decimals, fractions, able to read scales, rules in 1/32-1/64-100th, measurement conversions.
- Competent computer skills, including ability to use and modify Word documents and Excel spreadsheets and ability to operate PC computer equipment.
- Ability to learn company ERP system (Expandable) to perform inquires.
- Good oral and written communication.
- IPC-610 Certification required.
- ASQ Quality Inspector or Quality Technician certification would be a plus.
- Experience with PCBA inspection, soldering inspection and resistance welding inspection would be a plus.
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to use a touchscreen computer, mouse and keyboard.
