Job Description
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English to follow instructions and prepare production documents.
- 0-6 months of previous quality control inspections experience.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of inspection tools, blueprint reading, dimension inspections.
- Good eye-hand coordination to handle small to mid-sized light weight parts.
- Receives incoming and finished goods, products, and raw material. Matches items to purchasing documents and blueprints. Visually checks items, measures, and checks dimensions, and verifies counts to ensure compliance with specifications. Performs spot checks, sampling and 100% inspection as needed.
- Performs routine electrical circuit/resistance tests using multi meter, hypot meter, mega meter, etc.
- Exercises discretion to reject non-conforming parts. Logs inspected products, writes non-conformance report.
- For incoming and finished goods notifies corresponding department of non-conforming parts. Moves non-conforming products to designated areas.
- Uses dimensional inspection tools such as tape measure, micrometer, caliper, fixed and adjustable gages such as ring gages, plug gages, radius gages, etc.
- Performs a variety of stock handling tasks. Moves items to designates areas in stockroom, plant or shipping area. Uses 4-wheel cart and other material handling equipment.
- Maintains production records as required. Observes company policies and safety guidelines. Maintains neat work area and wears any specified personal protective equipment.
- Performs tasks sitting or standing at workbench in plant area. Moves and handles items weighing 0 – 20 lbs. occasionally up to 50 lbs. Task requires frequent to moderate handling of small, mid-sized and heavy wight parts. Performs other duties as assigned.
