BWXT's Nuclear Operations Group - Lynchburg is currently seeking a QC Dimensional Inspection (QCDI) Front Line Manager (FLM) for its Lynchburg, VA location!
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Oversees inspection and audit of lower tier components.
- Leads a team of 8 - 12 hourly employees, providing training, direction, oversight, professional development, and mentorship.
- Maintains technical coordination of inspection equipment, systems, engineering, and support groups.
- Provides oversight of employee safety, quality, efficiency, and utilization performance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of five (5) years of applicable experience.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with other departments/units.
- Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Machining or Quality diploma or certificate from an accredited Community College program.
- A minimum of five (5) years of inspection experience.
- Previous FLM or leadership experience.
