Job Description
The contractor will primarily be home headquartered and is responsible for his/her own network connectivity and home office space. Client will supply a laptop, and software, including a Microsoft Team license for phone use. This contractor may be required to report to BHSR headquarters on a periodic basis for training.
The primary objective of this engagement is to provide supplemental support to the internal Business Workflow Unit (BWU) specifically on the implementation. This breadth of duties includes understanding business requirements and workflow, functional testing of the application, and post-implementation end-user support.
The selected contractor will perform user acceptance system testing in the UAT/Staging environment. This includes execution of functional tests and end-to-end workflow testing, troubleshooting errors, and documenting defects. The selected contractor will be responsible for reporting issues to the vendor via JIRA tickets and for monitoring tickets in need of follow-up action and retesting.
Engages with program SMEs and stakeholders to verify application functionality aligns with business needs and functional design
Develops and performs functional testing and end-to-end workflow testing of the application in the UAT/Staging environment
Tests, troubleshoots, and resolves issues reported by program
Identifies, documents, and reports defects in the application
Monitors defect fixes, conducts retesting in UAT and supports verification testing in Production
Escalates potential deficiencies to Business Workflow ManaAger
Provides end-user support
The contractor will be required to:
Provide weekly personal status reporting by COB Friday submitted on SharePoint.
Schedule project status meetings with both the Director, Manager, and Death Registry Supervisor.
As appropriate for a business analyst and to meet general objectives shown above. Must have strong Microsoft Excel skills (including knowledge on pivot tables) and strong verbal and written communication skills.
