Key Tasks
Acts as administrator of company documentcontrol system. Maintains the source data and updates documents which arecontrolled by the Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance Department andare critical for product compliance and sales. Supports the department in tasksnecessary for product compliance.
ENSURESDOCUMENTS ARE CONTROLED BY:
Acting as a system administratorfor document control software; supporting validation efforts for the document control software; understanding andcommunicating ISO 13485 and FDA document control requirements; maintaining andensuring the current versions of documents are available and in the correctformat; writing and saving records and files of work and revisions inaccordance with document control requirements, controlling the QualityManagement System Documents, working with various departments to ensure controlled documents and records arereadily identifiable and retrievable.
MAINTAINS PRODUCT-RELATED DOCUMENTATION BY:
Managing the Enhanced Item Master(EIM) database; creating template files and forms; reviewing Device HistoryRecords for completeness; assisting with review and approval of Device MasterRecords; educating others on FDA requirements for DMRs and DHRs.
SUPPORTS THE COMPLIANCE DEPT, THE CUSTOMER,AND THE MARKET BY:
Fulfilling documentation requestsfor product registrations (collecting and drafting memos, creating formletters, organizing documents, requesting legal/government documents), fillingout forms and completing the Apostille processes, gathering other data andevidence as needed to fulfill legal, regulatory, statutory, and marketrequirements; supporting corrective actions and ensuring the process isfollowed appropriately; and performing additional administrative functionsincluding filing, electronic scanning and filing, etc.
FACILITATES INTERNAL TRAINING RECORD PROCESSBY:
Maintainingthe training record system for Quality Management System procedures and workingwith policy/procedure owners to ensure they complete the appropriate trainingdocumentation and notifying them when training records are expired/overdue.
FOSTERS COMPANY-WIDE COMPLIANCE BY:
Reportingto the Quality Management Representative and supporting the Quality ManagementSystem and other compliance requirements; understanding how regulatoryrequirements relate to the position, supporting the activities of other QA/RCteam members and ensuring data is accurate, controlled, readily accessible, andapplied to appropriate documents.
