OverviewJOB SUMMARY: Provides leadership and develops, implements and maintains quality control process and procedures to support quality programs for engineered equipment, materials, on and off-site fabrication, warehouse materials, equipment preservation and out-of-service equipment.WORK LOCATION: AnchorageSCHEDULE: 5/40CONTRACT: 12 monthsResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* Develops and implements process and procedures and track and trend quality defects and non-conformance.* Risk ranks, prioritizes and establishes corrective action plans for defects and non-conformance. Identifies potential quality problems, undesirable trends and potential risks.* Leads, facilitates or participates in RCFA to resolve quality related equipment failures.* Routinely interfaces with Supply Chain and HSE QA for identification and resolution of materials and services deficiencies and compliance with regulatory affairs.* Participates in prequalification process for contractors and suppliers.* Plans, leads or participates in QC program audits including vendors and contractors.* Develops and implements contractor and supplier quality surveillance processes and procedures.* Ensures contractor quality management systems are fully implemented and effective.* Performs specific inspections. Coordinates contractor and supplier quality surveillance of new equipment and facilities.* Develops vendor data requirements for equipment and materials.

Routinely audits and monitors the quality control programs and ensure systems are functioning at managed performance levels.* Promotes improvement and optimize the quality control programs to improve overall asset and operating integrity performance.* Prepares reports to management for quality related issues, corrective action plans, and routine tracking/trends.* Provides quality training, and provides oversight to professional and/or lead staff.* Responsibilities may include several technical/functional areas.* Resolves complex problems.* Provides input to development of technical/functional strategies and ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives.* Decisions are guided by functional objectives.QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:* Typically requires 10-15 years of experience* American Welding Society (AWS)COMPETENCIES & SKILLS - PREFERRED:* American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Certification* Institute of Quality Assurance (IQA)* Bachelor's Degree in related field* Knowledge of Quality audit methodology* MS Office products* Process Safety Management (PSM)* Quality Assurance/Quality Control Skills* Upstream Oil & Gas Equipment and FabricationREASONABLE ACCOMMODATION: It is Fairweather's business philosophy and practice to provide reasonable accommodations, according to applicable state and federal laws, to all qualified individuals with physical or mental disabilities.PREFERENCE STATEMENT: Fairweather grants preference to qualified Doyon Shareholders first, and second to qualified shareholders of other Alaska Native corporations that grant a similar preference in all phases of employment and training, which include, but are not limited to hiring, promotion, layoff, transfer, and training.This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position.
