Midland Asphalt Materials Inc., a subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, provides advanced pavement preservation solutions for our customers' needs. We are currently looking for a QA/QC Intern for the 2024 summer season. This is a paid, full-time internship.
- Responsible for analyzing materials, including, asphalt, aggregates, and emulsions
- Operates, maintains, and cleans laboratory testing equipment and workspace
- Accurately performs testing of aggregates and asphalt products according to NYS DOT specifications and company quality control plans
- Record and maintain quality control reports
- Analyze data, troubleshoot, and recommend process control adjustments under the supervision of the quality control manager
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering or related field
- Must be able to research and analyze
- Excellent time management skills and punctuality
- Good planning and organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to communicate and work with teams at all organizational levels, including senior management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel
