QA Test Technician | Gas Lab Tech

Position is ON-SITE at App Park, Louisville
Long term position. Either remain on contract "forever" OR eventually get converted (NO time line)

Role Summary/Purpose:
In this role, you will support the testing of cooking products including ranges, microwaves, and small appliances.  This position contributes to validating products for safety as well as performance of new and existing products.  Specifically, this role will be involved with eStar testing.
Job Descriptions:

• Conduct accurate and timely testing of various cooking products using established test procedures.

• Apply technical expertise of instrumentation and test software to setup instrumentation to correctly apply the ETP or regulatory standards to the product under evaluation.

• Setup data loggers, power analyzers, and thermocouples to accurately capture test data on products.

• Maintain supplies, environment, and consumables to meet lab policies.

• Interpret results, prepare test documentation, and review data with engineers.

• Move product samples from prep site to test station for testing and then back out after testing is completed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or Military equivalent in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.

• 1+ years of experience in evaluation in a lab environment

• Must be teachable

• Attention to detail and excellent time management skills

• Experience using hand tools

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment

• Knowledge and aptitude of lab equipment and computer skills

• High proficiency in Microsoft products including Excel

• Motivated and ability to follow written procedures with minimum supervision

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Good oral and written communication skills

• Can lift 50+lbs

Preferred Qualifications:              

• 2+ years’ experience with testing and data acquisition systems

Estimated % time
90% - Testing and reporting on tests
10% - General duties, maintaining equipment, etc…

Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per week
