Creative Foods is looking for an individual who can demonstrate strong leadership skills and someone who is ready to grow with an expanding food manufacturing company. This individual must have a skill set that reflects that of a QA Technician with at least One year experience as a QA Technician in the food manufacturing industry, with SQF, and HACCP training. The Quality Technician position is a long term position that will allow you to enhance your career while gaining valuable manufacturing experience. Quality Technician reports to the Quality Manager
Quality Technician back up will be trained personnel from production
QA Technician
Responsible for the following:
- Work with all departments to enhance QA and sanitation programs throughout the facility
- Preform Production pre-inspections are completed and appropriate information is available for use.
- Perform Environmental and other swab testing for ATP and Allergen verification; and present data to Production Lead and make the decision to produce or re-clean. Inform QA Manager of results
- Coordinating lab samples to be sent for analyses to Third Party Labs and responsible for pulling and labeling retain samples
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
- Develop and maintain a broad understanding of the operational processes associated with the manufacturing facility
- Monitor storage of segregated allergens and utensils.
- Calibration of lab instruments.
- Internal auditing, reporting, and corrective actions
- Must attend all required meetings and training sessions
- Must follow SQF and GMP rules and enforce compliance while on the production floor
- Other miscellaneous duties as requested by the QA Manager
Required experience and skills
- At Least One year Experience as a QA Technician in the food manufacturing industry.
- Must be SQF, and HACCP Trained
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated effective Food Safety knowledge (I. e. Allergens, Sanitation, GMPs)
- Excellent communicative skills.
- Teamwork and collaboration.
- Passion for accuracy
- Completely trustworthy and reliable
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- May be required to pass Drug Test and Background check.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- This job may require physical exertion such as walking, standing, climbing and lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
- May be exposed to minor dust and noise levels.
- May be exposed to freezing temperatures below 32°F
- Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required
- Must be available to work overtime if necessary
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
