Job Summary
The QA Specialist, Photography Quality is responsible for testing Impel’s automotive merchandising products, specifically focusing on the imaging products, including looking for ways to improve Impel’s imaging products and advance our hardware support. They will also help identify bugs or inconsistencies in workflow within our Imaging products. Working directly with the QA Team, Product Owners, and Engineers, the QA Specialist, Photography Quality will work to obtain a vast understanding of Impel’s imaging products while helping to improve product quality, hardware support, and advances in technology.

Essential Functions of the Job
Responsibilities
- Work to improve image quality by helping Product and Engineering determine the root causes of image quality issues. Leveraging knowledge of photography, photography techniques, photography tools, hardware, and software.
- Work directly with Developers, Product Owners, and the QA Team to create realistic timelines for supporting new hardware and updating software through advances in technology.
- Helping maintain the support of Impel’s imaging products through beta testing, bug identification, and documentation, marketplace awareness, and advancements in technology, firmware, hardware, and alternative photography processes.
- Create and maintain clear documentation of supported hardware and imaging use cases.
- Obtain a vast understanding of all Impel’s Imaging products - help recommend suggestions for successful releases and identify potential roadblocks, showstoppers, or use cases that might hinder or compromise a successful launch.
- Stay up-to-date with new QA testing tools and test strategies.

Qualifications:
- Education in photography, or 3 years QA photography experience or equivalent experience/education
- Maintain and advance Impel’s Imaging products and hardware support.
- Ability to work independently and as a productive part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail, and ability to effectively research and implement the latest and best photography technology and hardware.
- Proficient knowledge of business communication platforms, preferably Zoom and Slack
- Working knowledge base of Atlassian products - Confluence and Jira.
