POSITION SUMMARY:
The LG EVC Factory Incoming QA Team is in charge of managing the quality of incoming materials. Our team manages the quality of product components and serves as a quality manager of the component suppliers. The Incoming Quality Assurance Operator - Mechanical (IQA) performs incoming material audits to assure all materials meet or exceed internal and external customer specifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform part visual inspection using different methods to identify surface issues like discoloration, scratches, dents and others defects
Perform measurements for length, diameters and heights using caliper, micrometer, high gauge and other measurement instruments
Record inspection results in PC applications
Educate new associates working in IQA execution system and other inspection equipment areas
Exhibit strong leadership skills and promote a positive work environment to enhance IQA operations
Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives by utilizing Six Sigma methodologies which include working with production/warehouse teams to improve quality, reduce cost and increase throughput
Report on issues to a supervisor or a manager or an appropriate support group if necessary

Participate in on-the-job trainings regarding IQA/manufacturing processes, corporate policies, safety procedures, GMP, ISO standards as requested by the supervisor
Comply with all environmental, health and safety SOP's, and equipment policies/procedures including any requests by other departments
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum High School diploma or GED required
Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality assurance role in a manufacturing setting required
Work experience in manufacturing/operations a plus
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
"Hands-on" problem solving skills preferred
Read, understand and use different specification, drawings and instruction guides
Technical understanding of manufacturing equipment and distribution processes preferred
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional attitude a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point preferred
Strong verbal and written communications and the ability to effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders of the organization a plus
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Quality related certificates preferred
- Physical ability to frequently assume various positions such as sitting, standing, walking, reaching within hands and arm's length, stooping, kneeling, and crouching a plus
- Ability to speak/write/understand Korean is a plus
