JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB SUMMARY:
To perform in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner, a combination of duties mainly related, but not limited to, Quality Assurance Standardization within and for the production of ship repair and fabrication of ship repair components, and module fabrication with duties primarily focused on ECR's Virginia Operations. Plan, direct, and/or coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for QA in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications. This position may handle Company Proprietary and DoD
JOB REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Division QA/ISO Internal and External Training, Auditing, Certifying and QA Authority for Virginia divisions in the area of ISO 9001:2015 compliance, Welding and NDT program, NDT Inspectors, and QMS Procedures.
2. Attends meetings as Quality liaison, researches, develops, and/or maintains corporate procedures for use, ensures Corporate processes and products are implemented, measured, monitored, and maintained.
3. Collaborates with Production and Project Leadership to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction and quality of service.
4. Participates in Management Review with division management, develops and implements Quality Management System improvements, promotes awareness of customer or interested party requirements.
5. Ensures Customer Complaints (CARs), Non-conformances (NCRs), Supplier CARs, and Audit Findings are addressed with proper root cause analysis, tracked, performed, and reported to management and the customer as required.
6. Assists ECR Estimating department where needed to evaluate contract QA requirements. Performs analysis of data relating to conformity of product, quality policy, quality objectives, customer satisfaction, suppliers, trends of processes and products.
7. Ensures effective Test and Inspection Plan management, ensuring appropriate Hold Point notifications of "V", "I", "G" and inspections on Hold Points via assigned personnel resources.
8. Collaborates with ECR's teaming partners where appropriate to leverage resource availability in the area of NDT inspections.
9. Provides coaching and developmental opportunities to direct reports for assistance in growing the department.
10. Contributes to the direction of the ECR Weld Program administration and implementation.
11. Acts as liaison to trade organizations such as; the American Maritime Modernization Association (AMMA), Virginia Ship Repair Association, AAMP, and the American Society for Quality (ASQ), or other industry organizations who directly affect ECR standing within our industry.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree or Associate degree preferred plus 5 years' experience.

In lieu of education requirements: 10 years shipyard experience of which no less than 5 years in a Quality Assurance Departmental Management with Non-Destructive Testing and/or Coating Inspection Certifications.

2. Must have Microsoft Office software experience.
3. Must be able to gain access to military installations.
4. Must pass drug test and background check.
