Summary
Our QA Engineers play a crucial role ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. You will work closely with the development team, product team, customer success team, and customers to design, implement, and maintain testing frameworks, tools, and test suites. By leveraging your expertise in QA methodologies, you will help drive the delivery of high-quality software that meets our customers' expectations. This role requires a strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases that cover functional, performance, security, and regression testing.
  • Identify test scope, objectives, and risk areas to provide effective test coverage.
  • Execute test cases and record test results accurately.
  • Conduct both manual and automated tests to verify software functionality and performance.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools.
  • Perform exploratory testing to discover potential issues.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using relevant testing frameworks and tools.
  • Continuously enhance and update test scripts to adapt to changes in software and project requirements.
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to communicate testing progress and status.
  • Participate in regular meetings and discussions to contribute to project planning and improvements.
  • Provide feedback on product design and usability to improve user experience.
  • Continuously assess and improve testing processes and strategies to enhance overall product quality and efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
  • Assist in the preparation and validation of software releases.
  • Conduct post-release testing and monitor the performance of released products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or four years of related/relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years' proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Selenium, Python, Java, etc.).
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web service protocols (REST, SOAP).
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
