Overview
Develops and implements methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed " Designs and installs sophisticated testing equipment and performs product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates " Analyzes reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions " Collaborates with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensures that effective corrective actions are implemented and contributes to supplier quality improvement programs
Responsibilities

• Verify employees are following standards set by the company, industry regulators, and government agencies.
• Inspect products and services during all stages of production.
• Write reports to share observations about compliance and recommend changing the systems and processes as necessary.
• Calibrate quality control measures to make sure they function properly.
• Identify ways to improve existing processes and systems to improve quality and consistency.
• Support employees understanding of regulations, follow procedures, and work within systems.
• Performs manual tasks according to established procedures
• Requires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process
• Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical Training Degree and/or Equivalent Combination of Relevent Eduactaition & Experience.
• Associate's Degree in Engineering or equivalent training and experience preferred.
• 2-4 years prior experience.
• Ability to indentify and seek needed information/research skills.
• Problem solving and leadership skills.
• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require employee to work inside or outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• May be requested to work a different shift.
• Travel Requirements No or very little likely.
• Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
