The QA Documentation Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining end-to-end Quality Assurance document systems at Chemical Guys. We manufacture our auto-detailing chemicals right here in Carson, CA and this is a great opportunity to grow and work alongside our both our quality (QA/QC) and manufacturing teams.

What will you need?
- Prior experience working in a regulated industry or manufacturing environment
- Prior experience & knowledge in writing, developing, and implementing SOPs
- Bachelors degree and/or Specialty in Technical Writing, preferred
- Interest in the development of processes & documentation supporting a fast-
- paced manufacturing & production environment
- Ability to prioritize & pivot daily activities driven by production urgency
- Strong written & verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus

What you will do?
- Write, review, and implement the company-wide deployment of a Quality
- Assurance Documentation Program (QADP) QADP includes but is not limited to: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, Forms, Job Aids, & Process Flows Catalog & maintain all Chemical Guys Manufacturing & Quality documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of opportunity to develop necessary documentation, practices, and processes
- Train all cross-functional teams during implementation of new procedures & practices
- Perform & document product evaluations for conformance to requirements
- Initiate & manage product non-conformances including but not limited to receiving & inspection, in-line & finished production, and customer rejects/returns
- Oversee the documentation of the Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) lifecycle from initiation of root cause investigations through implementation of corrective actions
- Assist production, warehouse, and quality personnel as required
- Perform timely escalations with strong communication skills across all levels of organization
First Year Deliverables (What to Expect)
- 3 months: Formalizing a company-wide documentation management system,
while prioritizing SOP development including forms, job aids, work instructions,
and process flows for manufacturing site (Carson MFG).
- 6 months: Cross-train as a Quality Control Inspector to assist with receiving &
inspections, and MFG QC Line checks. Coordinate the initiation of all Carson
MFG NCRs and assist the Quality Supervisor in performing CAPA investigations
when necessary.
- 12 months: Assist the Quality Supervisor in routinely maintaining and upkeeping
the Quality Dashboards and KPIs with minimal oversight. Identify & implement
Quality Continuous Improvement initiatives supporting business needs.
