PURCHASING MANAGER

MDG Design and Construction LLC, (http://mdgny.com/) is an affordable housing developer, with over 30 years of excellence and industry leader real estate firm that develops and constructs high quality affordable housing, based in Woodbury (Long Island), NY.

Our company oversees all aspects of multifamily residential development, an expert in construction, development, and design and specializes in new construction and moderate rehabilitation of affordable apartment buildings nationally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Negotiate pricing with Vendors;

· Schedule deliveries;

· Research new material as requested by Project Managers/Owners;

· Reconcile Invoice issues with Vendors/Accounting;

· Keep company Price Schedule to track material pricing;

· Keep company Tool Inventory up to date;

· Schedule repair of company tools and equipment as needed;

· Schedule company driver daily.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

· Minimum Two-year Degree or relevant experience

· 5 years of relevant experience

· Field experience

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:

· Proficient in MS Office; Word, Excel and Outlook-Calendar

· Knowledge of material

· Must have excellent verbal and written communication and outstanding customer service skills,

· Detail-oriented, highly organized, self-Motivated and ability to prioritize tasks and projects with limited direction and time constraints.

· Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise

· Must be a good culture fit: Professional presence, open-minded, positive attitude and team player

· Interact professionally with all office visitors and incoming callers.

· Experience handling sensitive and confidential information and material

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Office - Open space, cubicle – Woodbury, Long Island

PAY RANGE:

$66,000 - $100,000. Depends on experience.
