Job Description
We seek a Purchasing/Procurement Manager to be part of our Project Management Team in our Residential Custom Home Building company.. The right candidate's primary responsibility is to manage the purchasing of materials and labor services for the individual construction projects and assist the Project and Construction Management Teams with Job Budgeting, Purchase Orders, Vendor Payments, Vendor negotiations, and labor and materials orders. This is primarily office based work but there will be requirements to visit jobsites and vendors occasionally., as well as handle small materials handling and order receipts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Materials Orders and delivery coordination
- Assist with Job Budget development for eah project
- Manage Purchase Orders, Vendor Invoicing, Cost Control, Accounts Payable
- Assist with vendor recruitment and price negotiations
- Assist with company cost book maintenance and pricing for new homes
- Manage preferred vendor programs
- Manage intake/outtake of delivery materials from main office
- Manage/Track order deliveries and returns
Required Qualifications:
- Prior Purchasing/Procurement experience with PO systems is a must (simple accounts payable/receivable assistance is not adequate)
- Highly organized and dependable with good oral, written, and computer communications skills
- Commitment to quality work with a strong work ethic
- Proficiency with MS Office and email
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral form or via ARH Construction applications
- Must have a vehicle, valid driver’s license, and be willing to drive among designated job sites and communities in daytime and nighttime
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Require minimum supervision
- Work effectively in high pressure situations
- Ability to create a systematic approach in carrying out assignments
- Ability to work overtime and occasional weekend hours. Position is primarily 8a-5p M-F, but flexibility due to scheduling of work is required
Total compensation in the $65,000 - $75,000 salary
