Purchasing Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team. As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring efficient supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain, with excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of goods and services
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships with vendors
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid stockouts or excess inventory
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and identify new suppliers or cost-saving opportunities
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize carrying costs while maintaining adequate stock levels
- Evaluate supplier performance based on key metrics such as quality, delivery, and price
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement supply chain improvement initiatives

Skills:
- Proven experience in procurement management, preferably in a similar industry
- Strong knowledge of supplier management, contract negotiation, and supply chain management principles
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing from suppliers
- Proficient in using procurement software systems
- Solid understanding of inventory control principles and practices
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
