Materials Purchasing Coordinator
Reports to
Assistant Manager of Maintenance
Job purpose
The Materials Coordinator will primarily be responsible for the negotiation and purchasing of competitive products.
Duties and responsibilities
· Perform clerical duties such as creating purchase requisitions and entering inventory data
· Locates materials, requisitions materials, establish delivery schedules according to priorities and anticipated availability
· Confirm maintenance spare parts inventory
· Conduct cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy
· Examine and verify materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents and requisitions
· Effectively communicate with production Team Members and Management
· Use computerized systems to compile reports of quantity and type of material on hand
· Manage all purchases for production and maintenance teams
· Evaluate vendors for negotiating competitive bidding
· Ability to learn and implement maintenance software as well as effectively teach to subsequent Team Members
· Keep department records compliant with TS16949, ISO14001
· Proactively addresses and corrects all unsafe behaviors and conditions.
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
· High School diploma required; college degree preferred
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office
· Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers, vendors and suppliers
· Ability to push, pull and lift a minimum of 25 pounds
· Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
· Professional attitude and presence
Working conditions
Requires working in open office with daily visits to shop floor.

Earns no less than $684 / wk.

AA, BA or advanced knowledge in related field
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
