Duties of the Purchasing Support Specialist include but are not limited to:
- Understand and be able to navigate the business’s Enterprise Resources Planning Software - “FACTS”.
- Issue purchase orders to suppliers, distributors and manufacturers.
- Ensure that orders received are accurate and reconcile to purchase orders
- Work closely with relevant departments to ensure products purchased are in line with the needs of the company.
- Keep accurate records of purchases made.
- Set up product codes for new items.
- Receive purchase orders, and match with Invoices for Payables. Correct Issues with vendors and price issues.
- Relays changes of orders and receipts to appropriate employees.
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with suppliers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to work additional hours during peak seasons to meet business demands.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for self and others.
- Must be able to perform any other duties or functions as assigned by supervisor.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and inventory reconciliation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
