Basic Responsibilities: The Purchasing Agent is responsible for all procurement activities related to the purchasing of all materials, approved goods and services for Aerostar. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, self-motivated, communicator with knowledge and application of purchasing cost reduction methods and the ability to apply them in order to succeed
Basic Tasks/Duties:
- Have a general knowledge of the industry and strong communication skills
- Read and interpret technical data and CMM’s
- Talk with vendors to obtain, price, availability, and delivery schedule
- Know customer requirements and company policies and procedures
- Create spreadsheets, charts & graphs as needed by department manager
- Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies.
- Work with the customers via emails, over the phone, or face to face
- Maintain a follow up on the vendors and ensure they on schedule for delivery
- Requests for pricing, load price changes
- Entering/revising/updating parts lists
- Keeping all parts and pricing updated and in stock
- Coordinate all paperwork for vendors
- Process purchase orders, change orders and notices to proceed
- Assist with pricing of bid packages

Pay: $45,851.66 - $55,219.20 per year
