Purchasing Agent

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team. As a Purchasing Agent, you will play a crucial role in managing our supply chain and ensuring the availability of materials and resources needed for production. Your responsibilities will include sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, and maintaining inventory control. Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained
- Coordinate with production planning to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Resolve any supplier-related issues or discrepancies
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions to identify potential cost-saving opportunities

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Proficient in using purchasing software systems (e.g., Quickbooks)
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
