Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Planning Analyst to join our team. The Supply Planning Analyst will collaborate with various teams to forecast demand, monitor inventory levels, and implement strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Demand Forecasting:
- Utilize historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors to accurately forecast product demand.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other teams to gather input for demand planning.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and analyze stock movements to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs.
- Supplier Collaboration:
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials or products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to enhance collaboration and improve lead times.
- Data Analysis:
- Analyze data related to supply chain performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Generate reports and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain function.
- Implement best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Risk Management:
- Proactively identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Monitor external factors that may impact the supply chain, such as market trends and geopolitical events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Supply Planning, demand forecasting, or a related role.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and Excel.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and other supply chain software is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- APICS or other relevant certifications.
- Experience with supply chain software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
