Purchaser – Gas/Liquid Turbine Equipment
Pay Rate: $25 - $30/hr
Schedule: M-Thur, 7am - 5:30pm
Due to recent business growth and expansion, our client is looking to add an experienced Purchaser. Must have a strong background in sourcing, negotiating and procuring Gas/Liquid turbine related equipment and materials. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of turbine components while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Purchaser Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify reliable suppliers and vendors of turbine components, parts, and materials.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to ensure a consistent and reliable supply chain for turbine-related products.\
- Collaborate with the engineering and technical teams to understand specific turbine requirements and develop procurement strategies that align with project goals and timelines.
- Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers while ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and cost-saving initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, including delivery schedules, product quality, and overall compliance with contractual agreements.
- Coordinate closely with the logistics and warehouse teams to facilitate the timely delivery and storage of purchased components.
- Manage procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and invoices, while maintaining accurate records of procurement activities and expenses.
- Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact the procurement process, and implement necessary adjustments to procurement strategies accordingly.
Purchaser Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Purchaser or in a similar procurement role within the turbine or similar industry, with a strong understanding of turbine components, materials, and related technologies.
- Solid knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management, and contract negotiations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to resolving procurement-related challenges.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools, as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements related to turbine procurement.

- Pumps, Fans, Pipes, Louvers, Dampers, Transformers, ATS, Pressure differential transmitters PDT, pressure transmitters PT Thermocouples, and all kind of gages.
