Hours: Monday-Thursday 6:15am-3:30pm, Friday 6:15am-12:15pm
Job Summary: The machine operator will be fully responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of the TruPunch 5000. Proper operation means that the operator must be knowledgeable of all functions that are performed on the machine.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operating the machine and its components in manual or automatic mode
- Setting the work piece clamps
- Zeroing the machine
- Aligning and preloading the tooling
- Checking the first production parts against the drawings to ensure accuracy
- Understanding the operating sequence of the machine to determine if the machine is operating properly
- Understanding the location and operation of the emergency stop and feed hold switches.
- Routine maintenance of the machine

Education and Experience:
Skills:
- Ability to work on variety of material types and thicknesses
- Setup experience specific to department or equipment
- Sheet Metal Layout experience (Tangent Correction, Basic Bend Allowance Etc.)
- Understanding of Material Properties including Flatness, Surface Grades, Types, Gauge etc.
- Appropriate communication skills (Read, Write, Speak, Listen)
