Position Objective:

This position is for an outdoor warehouse without air-conditioning. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working individual with a "can do" attitude.

Under general supervision, the Pump/Tank Technician performs a wide variety of manual and semi-skilled tasks involving installation, construction, maintenance, and repair associated with fuel & lubrication equipment; performs preventive and predictive maintenance on assigned equipment; removes, disassembles, cleans, re-installs and performs repair of pump/motor assemblies, equipment, and components. Operates and maintains a variety of light and heavy equipment as well as hand and power tools and equipment.

General Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the installation, construction, maintenance, and repair associated with fuel pumps and pneumatic lubrication pumps
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of mechanical equipment
• Service and refurbish equipment.
• Accurately diagnose mechanical repair needs
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment
• Operate a variety of maintenance and repair equipment in a safe and effective manner
• Read and understand technical manuals and shop drawings
• Perform heavy manual labor
• Perform assigned work in accordance with appropriate safety practices and regulations
• Maintain a variety of repair records
• Maintain facility grounds including routine pressure washing and industrial cleaning.
• Operating forklift in warehouse to assist with inventory control, logistics, shipping and receiving.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Basic electrical troubleshooting and circuitry required
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic pumps and transfer pumps required
• Basic plumbing License/Certification preferred

Environment:

Indoor and outdoor environment; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases, vibrations, electrical energy, and all types of weather and temperature conditions; exposure to hazardous conditions; work around fuel; work and/or walk on various types of surfaces including slippery or uneven surfaces and rough terrain; may be required to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.

Physical:

Require sufficient mobility to walk, and stand for prolonged periods of time;

Frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach and twist;

Push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 75lbs regularly;

Operate assigned equipment and vehicles;

Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information
