Public Woodyard Attendent

GENERAL PURPOSE of JOB: Assist public to off-load wood waste and load out landscape products SAFELY. Collect revenue, produce customer receipts, ACCURACY is important.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Assess load size and direct to proper drop site.

· Inspect wood waste to minimize foreign materials.

· Maintain the off-load area free of clutter and dust.

· Assist customers in selecting proper soil products for their individual needs.

· Assist customers in loading soil products and securing load.

· Operate and service tractor and loader as needed.

· Operate and maintain rolling stock, including tractor, and fork truck.

· Collect fees and other revenue from sale of landscape products.

· Operate POS system to produce customer receipts.

· Operate credit card device.

· Provide exceptional customer service.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has limited supervisory responsibilities and varies from standard to lead position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Customer service skills are essential to this position.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
