PUBLIC UTILITIES GIS TECHNICIAN- SEASONAL

JOB SUMMARY:

GIS Technician will use GPS and mobile devices to map water utility assets and enter map data into a geographic information system. This is a seasonal position for the Spring, Summer, & Fall seasons.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

• Use GPS and mobile devices to map water utility assets and enter map data into a geographic information system.
• May be assigned a wide variety of other assignments based on the needs of the department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must be 18 years or older.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of mapping using GIS technology.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Work is performed primarily outdoors, with some indoor work, in various locations.
