Founded in 1967, Blue Ridge Community College has served the residents of the central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia for over 50 years. Its comprehensive program of instruction includes associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates in occupational/technical and college/university transfer programs. The College also provides non-credit workforce training and special interest classes for individuals, business, and industry.
BRCC is seeking to fill a part-time Administrative Assistant position to support the front desk operations of the Public Safety Office. This position will act as the main point of contact for faculty, staff, and students and will perform the following tasks: answering all incoming calls and elevating to the appropriate Public Safety personnel as needed, assisting students with ID's and parking passes, providing keys to contracted custodians, coordinating purchases, and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have excellent communication skills, a pleasant, friendly demeanor and be dedicated to contributing to a positive community environment. Requires proficiency in MS Office products and the ability to quickly learn Public Safety and emergency management software systems.
