Goodhue County Health & Human Services is seeking qualified applicants in our Family Health Unit. We are focused on a work/life balance for all our employees, 13 paid holidays per year, and flexibility in scheduling.
Kinds of Work: We are seeking two part-time nurses for the Family Health Unit. You will work with our family home visiting program, including making home visits, contacting referrals, and participating in agency and community committees, and other duties as assigned.
Examples of Work:
Provide direct services to internal and external customers
Assess and evaluate client's health and living situations to determine level of care and services needed
Collaborate with community providers to meet client needs
Provides input in program planning, the development of agency goals and the evaluation of the agency's programs &; policies
Maintains case file documentation
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, agency staff members, other agency professional representatives and the general public
Ability to identify and utilize community resources in meeting the needs of clients
Demonstrates sensitivity and respect of cultural and individual differences
Ability to identify risks factors for families and children
Demonstrates ability to identify and solve problems creatively
Demonstrates ability to perform duties independently as appropriate
Keyboarding, word processing, and computer documentation
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree from accredited school of nursing, certification as a Public Health nurse in Minnesota, licensed as a registered nurse in Minnesota
Or
* Associate degree, baccalaureate degree or diploma from a school of nursing accredited by the National League of Nursing and licensed as a Registered nurse in Minnesota.
* One year of experience in Public Health nursing or related area desired.
* Valid Driver's License
Rate of Pay:
The starting pay is $33.48 for .6 FTE and .4 FTE. The County's comprehensive benefit package includes medical, dental and vision insurance, health savings account, employer paid life insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, pre-tax flexible spending accounts, Public Employees Retirement Plan, tax-deferred compensation, generous vacation and
sick leave and 13 paid holidays per year. County employees are eligible for the Public Service Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.
