SalaryAs the Maternal Child School Public Health Nurse, incumbent will work closely with families pre-conception, child expectant families, newborns and their parents, school aged children, and Hancock County school officials to promote and educate on health care initiatives aimed at these demographics. Incumbent will be responsible for developing and operating programs and initiatives aimed at promoting healthy and safe lifestyle choices, educating and counseling planning or expectant families, providing reference to various resources and navigational assistance groups, performing clinical procedures such as vaccinations, taking vital signs, or performing weight checks. Incumbent will serve as a point of contact for local schools, ensuring that they are maintaining and enforcing State vaccination requirements, providing access and support for a wide range of school nurse needs, and maintaining working relationships with school nurses and officials.

Pay: $62,000.00 per year
