QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• Associates Degree in a related field
• Two years of full-time professional experience as a diagnostic radiologic technologist
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• 3+ years of professional experience as a diagnostic radiologic technologist
• 1+ years experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited radiography program

Additional Eligibility Requirements:
• Credentialed, in good standing, in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Credentialed, in good standing, in Radiography by the Arizona Department of Health Service
• Must meet all health and safety requirements for practice at affiliate sites
• Valid driver’s license
Classification:
• Non-exempt
Position Type & Work Schedule:
• Part-time
• Less than 19 hours per week
• May include some Fridays, evenings, and weekends
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Provides quality clinical instruction to enable students to meet established standards of care in Radiologic Technology
• Uses professional judgment and maintains ethical practice for the successful completion of clinical procedures
• Teaches and evaluates the appropriate care that is essential for the successful completion of clinical procedures
• Ability to be self-directed
• Ability to conduct successful meeting work
• Ability to communicate professionally, verbally, in writing, and in a public setting
• Must be organized
• Manage project deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Work Environment:
• Indoors, clinical lab setting
• Work directly with ionizing radiation
Physical Demands:
• 20% sitting
• 80% bending, kneeling, lifting
Travel:
• 10% of time traveling to off-campus classrooms, clinical labs, and/or clinical sites
Note:
• Have availability to work between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm Monday – Friday
• Not benefit eligible
SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:
Responsible for the education and supervision of students in clinical practice settings and the simulation lab. Assists with clinical orientation and in-service for new and continuing students. May be assigned didactic course instruction.

TYPICAL DUTIES:
Serves Students. Supervises students in the clinical and simulation lab setting.
Assists with the simulation of imaging exams.
Evaluates students for competency against degree requirements.
Assists with student clinical orientation.
Provides didactic course instruction.
Participates in the student-candidate selection process for the Radiologic Technology Program.

Assist with recruitment and retention of Medical Imaging Students.

Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.
