Psychotherapist

Job description

I am looking for a part-time therapist to handle overflow as my practice expands. Could organically grow into full-time position if there is a good fit. My practice is cash pay only and has a sliding scale from $40-150. Clients pick whatever rate on this scale works for them and are allowed to change at any time for any reason. I am offering a 60/40 split meaning 60% of the fee goes to the therapist and 40% goes to the practice. In addition there is a $40 per session minimum for therapists, even if the practice gets less than 40% to make that happen.

I am still a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern myself. As such, I suspect another clinician with intern status would likely be the best fit. If still an intern, I will be your employer, but I am not able to be your supervisor. You will have to secure supervision outside of the practice. I am open to hiring a fully licensed clinician if there is a good fit. Regardless of licensure status, I will initially require weekly check-ins to discuss cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families. If you prefer to only see individuals, that is acceptable!
• Minimal documentation required as this is a cash only therapy practice. Only what is needed to to best treat the client.
• Initial communication with prospective clients will be managed by me after which they will be sent to you for a consultation call. You will be the primary point of contact for the client from the consultation call until completion of therapy.
• Manage your own schedule based on what works both for you and your clients. Office will be available for in person sessions at certain times as well.
• Ensure billing occurs smoothly. Any significant difficulties with billing (this has never happened to me), will be handled by me.
• Use TherapyNotes software in order to manage all of the above tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be either fully licensed to provide psychotherapy in the state of Florida or having intern status with intent to become fully licensed. Social work, marriage and family, mental health counseling, and psychology backgrounds are all welcome to apply.
• Must be serious about working on personal healing and growth. I believe this is a foundation for good clinical work.
• Must be accepting and loving of all types of people including varying socioeconomic statuses, sexualities, gender identities, racial identities, etc.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $40.00 - $90.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 25 per week
