Role Description
La Tanya Wallace, NP and Associates is seeking an EMDR Certified Psychotherapist for a remote role. The Psychotherapist will provide EMDR therapy to clients in California, Florida and surrounding states. The Clinician will work collaboratively with clients to assess their needs, develop treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted license as a Psychotherapist in California and/or Florida
- Familiarity with DSM-5 and experience conducting assessments and intakes
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in mental health practice, with a focus on providing individual therapy
- Certified in EMDR therapy
- Experience in trauma-informed care with cultural competency: working with diverse clientele BIPOC, veterans, seniors, victims of crime, etc.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to work remotely using secure and HIPAA-compliant teletherapy platforms
- Commitment to ongoing professional development/continuing education, with knowledge of evidence-based practices and treatments of mental health disorders
- Interest in learning about naturopathic behavioral treatment options
Responsibilities:
- Assess clients' mental health conditions and develop appropriate diagnoses.
- Collaborate with clients to set therapeutic goals and monitor progress.
- Conduct individual therapy sessions based on client needs and treatment plan.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Stay informed about current therapeutic approaches and research to enhance professional development.
- Participate in supervision or consultation meetings with senior staff or peers as needed.
