Psychometrist: Telehealth
Minimal Psychometrist job duties and responsibilities:
● Administer psychological/neuropsychological tests to pediatric patients as directed in order t o measure cognitive, behavioral, and social functioning.
● Greet and assist pediatric patients and families in a personal setting, and ensure that questions are managed appropriately.
● Utilize evidence-based approaches to assessment consistent with health/mental health integration and responsive to personal factors in assessment engagement
● Maintain high test reliability by accurately scoring and entering into a template the tests administered to pediatric patients.
● Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely fashion.
● Write patient behavioral observations.
● Adhere to HIPPA, maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate ethical behavior, and APA.
● Consults with psychologist prior to appointments to review appropriate testing procedures and accommodations for upcoming patients
● Participate in team strategic planning meetings, and all staff meetings.
● Work collaboratively with team members, cross-covering f or other studies when needed.
● Tracking and monitoring of patient condition and test results.
● Performs testing of patients with standardized psychological and neuropsychological instruments, under the supervision of the attending licensed Psychologist
● Scores tests and prepares a summary of results in a manner determined by and under the supervision of the attending licensed Psychologist
● Provides operational support to ensure the smooth flow of the department
Psychometrist Minimum Qualifications:
● Continuing education that focuses on Neuropsychological testing services
● Ability to work efficiently and with an exceptional ability to attend to the details;
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed as well as being able to work effectively within a team and independently;
● At least 2 years of psychological test & scoring administration experience.
● Computer proficiency (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point)
● Confident and highly motivated with excellent multi-tasking ability and record-keeping skills.
● Outstanding organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
● Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
● Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
● Ability to work with diverse teams of people in a diplomatic, collaborative and effective manner.
● Ability to problem-solve and establish timelines and priorities.
● Experience with Electronic Data Entry.
● A working knowledge of medical terminology.
● Master’s degree in Psychology (mandatory) or other health science discipline.
