Working under the supervision of the Neuropsychologist, the Psychometric Technician will assist in administering a wide range of standardized neuropsychological tests to patients with a diverse range of acquired or developmental neurocognitive disorders. This position assists in the cognitive evaluation of patients by administering, scoring and reporting the results of standardized tests of mental ability, as well as recording behavioral observations of patients during testing.
One year of related patient care experience or equivalency
Experience Preferred/Desired
Two years or more of experience in a related position and/or supervised experience preferred, with
cognitive assessment
Working with neurological and/or psychiatric patients
Prior experience with neuropsychological testing preferred
Education Minimum Required
B.A. or B.S. in Psychology or related field

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with and elicit cooperation from diverse patient populations, including patients with significant cognitive, behavioral, and psychiatric problems
Strong communication skills and ability to efficiently and effectively communicate with professional and administrative staff
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and prioritize
Excellent observational skills and the ability to record and convey those observations systematically and reliably through writing
Ability to take direction from clinical supervisors
Basic computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office

No formal certification needed. Work is conducted under the supervision of licensed Ph.D. level
