Located within the state-of-the-art, high-security Nixon Forensic Center, Certified Forensic Examiners (CFEs) work with the Competency Restoration and Acute Forensic Treatment (CRAFT) program to complete court ordered evaluations, specifically competency to stand trial, not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect, and sexually violent predator evaluations. CFEs are responsible for conducting evaluations, writing comprehensive reports, and offering testimony on a diverse population of individuals with serious mental illness and facing a wide range of charges ranging from misdemeanor assault to murder.

What you'll do:
We are looking for an individual with strong clinical, assessment, and writing skills who is reliable and adaptable. The CFE will spend their time reviewing police reports and hospital records, conducting interviews, completing assessments, and writing reports that will be submitted to the court. These evaluations are often complex, challenging, and can include the need to incorporate a variety of information including psychological assessment tools, relevant research, and collateral data.
All you will need for success:
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate in Psychology
- License eligible or licensed as a Psychologist in Missouri
- Training and experience conducting forensic evaluations and working with those with serious mental illness
