Psychiatry opening in KS_x000D_ Located in Pittsburgh, KS_x000D_ Full-Time & Permanent_x000D_ _x000D_ Seeking a Full-time Psychiatrist that is passionate about making an impact in underserved rural communities. The physician is responsible for delivering preventive, diagnostic, treatment, patient education and referral care rendered by CHC/SEK. This position is accountable for the delivery and quality of all services provided by the provider and any supervised mid-level providers (if applicable). Physician would support fully integrated medical, dental, behavioral health and addiction treatment services for high need population._x000D_ _x000D_ Positive work environment with a great support staff and a talented team of professionals to manage day-to-day operations allowing you to focus on patient care. All CHC/SEK Clinics are part of a health system with tremendous peer support. Support staff and services include: an extensive onboarding process, in-house IT, EHR support team (eClinicalWorks), medical assistants, medical scribes, RN/LPNs, billing specialists, continuing education management, credentialing, risk management team, in house general counsel, and more. If making a difference makes a difference to you - you belong at the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas._x000D_ _x000D_ RESPONSIBILITIES_x000D_ _x000D_ Provides positive impression, through words and tone, to patients, visitors, and employees presenting to the clinic areas._x000D_ Provides outpatient mental health services for patients including evaluating, testing diagnosis, and treatment of identified conditions._x000D_ Responsible to manage acute and chronic mental illness through care plans that are coordinated, when appropriate, with the patients primary care provider._x000D_ Responsible to make appropriate referrals to internal disciplines of CHC/SEK and/or external resources/agencies for additional services required._x000D_ Prescribes medications for patients for treatment of conditions, as indicated._x000D_ Provides clear written and oral communication to patients/guardians, and employees._x000D_ Ability to weigh the relative cost and benefits of a potential action._x000D_ Assures that the medical/clinical policies as related to mental health services of CHC/SEK are current and accurate_x000D_ _x000D_ QUALIFICATIONS_x000D_ _x000D_ Full licensure to practice medicine in the State of Kansas and Board Certified in appropriate specialty._x000D_ Graduation from accredited medical school and completion of medically recognized residency program._x000D_ A strong community/public health orientation preferred._x000D_ Commitment to serving the underserved._x000D_ _x000D_ Location:_x000D_ _x000D_ Located in Southeast Kansas, this community maintains all the activities, services and resources of a larger city, but with the comforts and security of a smaller community.
