We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately billing medical procedures and services. Your role will involve working with medical records, insurance companies, patients and healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for psychiatric medical services.
```Responsibilities```
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation or clarification for billing purposes
- Maintain patient records and update billing information as needed
- Assist with medical collections and handle patient inquiries regarding billing issues
- Stay up-to-date with changes in medical coding regulations and guidelines
```Experience```
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
- Experience in the healthcare field
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-10, CPT), and billing procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and computers in general
-Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
