Job Description
Rhode Island Hospital an affiliated hospital of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and member of the Lifespan Physician Group has an opportunity for a board certified or eligible psychiatrist interested in joining our Acceptance and Mindfulness based Partial Hospital Program (PHP). The position is for a full-time psychiatrist to see adult patients in the program, specializing primarily in the Trauma Track subdivision of the program. Option for in person or remote.
The Trauma Track provides in-person, full-day treatment for survivors of traumatic events within the PHP. The track consists of daily individual and group psychotherapy focused on DBT skill building, psychoeducation, and support around exposure therapy, daily sessions with a trauma-informed psychiatrist, and an optional mindfulness meditation group.

- Full time, on-site or remote
- Work M-F, 8:00a-4:00p
- Work with patients 18+ with diagnoses including but not limited to PTSD or acute stress disorder, mood disorders, anxiety disorders and personality disorders
- Treat 8-12 patients per day depending on overall census for an average census of 10 patients
- Diverse patient population (clinically, culturally, and economically)
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team with outstanding administrative support
- Call is 6-8 weekends/year in-person call coverage at RIH (inpatient, consult-liaison or psychiatric emergency department, to be determined by provider preference and hospital need). Additional pay offered for call shifts
- 1 night/month overnight phone-only coverage for outpatient/PHP and ED discharges. Additional stipend offered for the shift.
