Liberty Healthcare is hiring for a full-time Psychiatric Technician position.
This is a key position with Liberty’s forensic mental health program located onsite at the Robert Presley Detention Center – a Riverside County jail located in Riverside, CA.
This program provides high quality assessment and treatment services to adult inmates who are justice involved, experiencing mental illness, and found to be incompetent to stand trial under California Penal Code 1370.
As a Psych Tech with Liberty Healthcare’s program, you will help people receive vital services and achieve improved mental health.
You will have an opportunity to work with and experienced, talented and dedicated team of professionals – while gaining valuable experience and skills.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and maintaining positive therapeutic relationships with patients
- Promoting a positive therapeutic milieu
- Encouraging patients to take advantage of the program’s available mental health services
- Monitoring patient behaviors and administering appropriate therapeutic interventions
- Facilitating psycho-educational groups on various topics such as self-esteem, anger management and impulse control
- Actively participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and collaborating with Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Therapists, Nurses and security staff
- Documenting patient’s progress and interventions in medical records
As a full-time employee of Liberty Healthcare in this role, you can expect:
- Starting pay between $28.00 and $34.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)

The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday during daytime hours.
