Job Description
Seeking a US Veteran, National Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse to apply for a Psychiatric RN position with our client based in Anchorage, Alaska, whose medical department is dedicated to helping clients improve their lives through a coordinated approach to care involving clients, caregivers, clinical staff, and primary care providers. The psychiatric RN requires the candidate to be a Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska and 2+ years of clinical experience with Mental Health clients.
Pay: $41.17-55.70/hour
*Sign-on Bonus Eligible*
Schedule: M-F 8 AM- 5 PM, No Weekends
Responsibilities: Veteran Military
· Maintain a caseload and work with other members of the Medical Team to promote stability, recovery, and community integration.
· Monitor vital signs, glucose, medication side effects, etc. and report findings, as required.
· Administer and provide medication to patients according to physician/ANP/PA orders.
· Work with team and patient in developing/following the optimal treatment/service plan.
· Participate in facilitating crisis interventions, referrals, and hospitalizations as appropriate.
· Other responsibilities and duties, as assigned.
Requirements: Veteran Military
· US Military Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, Military spouse and/or Military family member preferred.
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska, knowledgeable in psychiatric nursing principles and practices required.
- You have experience in community-based services, and experience working with dually diagnosed population is highly preferred.
· 2+ years of clinical experience with Mental Health clients is required.
