Job Description
As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse in the RISE program, the individual is responsible for coordinating patient care, collaborating with jail nursing staff and psychiatrists to ensure continuity of care, and using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive psychiatric and medical care. The individual participates in the delivery of program services and possesses knowledge and skills in psychiatric mental health disorders, human growth and development, and principles of psychiatric rehabilitation.
Education
- Graduated from an accredited college, university or vocational school nursing program.
- Bachelor of Science Nursing degree from an accredited school and/or certification in mental health nursing is preferred.
Experience
- Experience in correctional mental health and/or psychiatric care at a secure facility.
Licenses/Certifications
- Must hold a current State of Colorado nursing license or eligible for same through Licensure by Endorsement through reciprocity.
