Psychiatric Mental Health Registered Nurse

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive Mental Health care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine the Mental Health needs of patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as appropriate
- Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary
- Provide counseling and therapy to patients using evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Educate patients and their families about Mental Health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:
- Previous experience as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is preferred
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, diagnostic criteria, and treatment modalities
- Familiarity with airway management techniques and medical terminology
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Experience working in a nursing home or long-term care facility is a plus
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding systems for accurate documentation
- Solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology
- Ability to provide pain management interventions and perform gastric lavage when necessary

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $51.00 - $59.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
