We are hiring NOW! The Nexus Group in Pittsburgh, PA is a widely respected and rapidly growing outpatient private psychiatric practice treating child, adolescent, and adult patients. The Nexus Group is an innovative, integrative Pittsburgh-based psychiatric clinic. Our clinic offers a comprehensive and individualized treatment approach. We are unique in that we take a whole-body perspective to treatment, combining conventional psychiatry and psychotherapy with mind-body techniques. Our goal is to get to the root-cause of your behavioral health conditions.
Nexus also provides advanced depression treatment in the form of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for patients with Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD) and other Mental Health disorders.
We are seeking a talented and passionate Mental Health Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to fill a Full Time (W2) opening. We are a lean, digital office with a great support staff, allocating ample time for appointments and follow-ups.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who is eager to expand their expertise and knowledge for high quality patient care. Our optimal candidate will thrive under pressure and be able to self-direct their day-to-day responsibilities. You will be collaborating with a managing psychiatrist to provide consistent and quality treatment to patients.
This is a Full Time (W2) position. Hours are regular work hours without weekend or evening calls. The Nexus Group offers a competitive salary and an excellent, supportive, and collaborative work environment.
Key job duties will include:
- Perform complete initial psychiatric assessments/evaluations and determine diagnosis and treatment plan.
- Provide follow up care and consultations to patients.
- Prescribe medications and collaborates with the supervising psychiatrist in case management
- Utilize specific electronic medical record system and other digital tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in patient record documentation and management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements for this position:
- Experience as a Psychiatric or Behavioral Health PA (PA-C) or CRNP (PMHNP-BC)
- Additional experience in a private practice facility is desirable
- An unconditional license (also known as a license without restriction) to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as CRNP or PA
- Registration with the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to prescribe controlled substances without sanction, restriction or limitation.
- Current CPR certification is required
- Obtain and maintain clearances below:
- Act 33 Clearance (PA Child Abuse Clearance)
- Act 73 Clearance (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History)
- Act 34 Clearance (PA Criminal Record Check)
- Act 31 Clearance (Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training)
- Comfortable with specific electronic medical record and other computer software
Total compensation ranges between $100,000 - $135,000 (depending on experiences), including: sign-on bonus, medical and dental insurance, paid time off plus holidays and opportunities for paid training/advancement if desired.
