Arundel Lodge, Inc. is a behavioral health agency located in Edgewater, MD. Our mission is to improve the lives of children, adults, and families impacted by Mental Health and substance use disorders.
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provides diagnosis, medication management and medical treatment to clients and their families to enhance comprehensive, integrated and uninterrupted treatment in the agency and to have continuity of care in the community. The Nurse Practitioner will maintain the culture and quality of life that is experienced by the clients of Arundel Lodge. The day-to day job and most critical responsibility of a Nurse Practitioner is to assist people towards their journey of recovery from mental illness, physical illness, and substance abuse in accordance to the Person Centered Treatment Planning process. The primary responsibilities are;
- Diagnosis, medication management, and medical treatment as it relates to the patients’ Mental Health needs
- Provide crisis intervention and individual, group and family psychotherapy to his/her caseload when necessary.
- Coordinates with the treatment team on the implementation of appropriate treatment strategies for patients and patients’ families.
- Timely completion of treatment documentation.
- Adhere to standards and regulations as set forth by the agency, respective licensing board, and COMAR.
- Monitor after hours cell phone coverage on rotating basis for one week every 12-14 weeks.
Qualifications;
- Must have experience in working with and the ability to relate to the populations to which they are credentialed to work (i.e. Children, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).
- Possess knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses as defined by the American Psychiatric Association, routine and emergency evaluation and assessment, human development, individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy.
- Demonstrate competency in procedures regarding medical treatment, medication management, laboratory tests, and other medical practices and procedures that are or may become relevant to the psychiatric needs of the patient population.
- Demonstrate the ability to function on an interdisciplinary treatment team through excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrate an understanding and sensitivity to serving a culturally diverse and/or special needs population while respecting patient confidentiality.
- Maintain Board Eligibility or Board Certifications and all applicable licensure.
- Possesses minimum experience as required by the privileging process.
- Adhere to the ethics of their respective profession.
Must have MA degree, Certifications as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (CRNP-PMH) and all applicable licensure including certification as a specialist in Behavioral Health and certification for prescribing Buprenorphine
